What is membership?
What is church membership? Being a member of a local church is our mutual recognition that this congregation is your church home, and we covenant to care for one another, support one another, and work together for the advancement of the Gospel in the name of Jesus Christ. In baptism, you were marked as a member of the larger Church forever; membership in a local church is for this particular season of your life.
The requirement for adult membership in a Presbyterian Church is your public declaration that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior. If you were never baptized before (either as an infant or adult), you would need to be baptized.
We offer opportunities to join FPC 2-3 times per year. To join, we ask that you meet briefly with some of the church elders, after which you will be asked to be formally received in worship (either 11 am or 5:30 pm) on a subsequent Sunday. For more information, please contact Rev. Hong at email@example.com.
